MY PERSONAL WUNDERNEST: FRANCESCA LAVAZZA

Two big eyes, blue like the sea, nearly a degree in Modern Literature with specialization in Communication Techniques, kind and sweet, Francesca Lavazza works in her family business since 2001.

Her Wundernest is a place that is halfway between imagination and reality.

At the moment – Francesca states- the place that is closer to a room of wonders is my office where there is a number of objects, pictures and memories. Memories are especially important for me, I collect objects that are related to a particular moment. When I look at them, in fact, I live once again that important, interesting and affectionate moment like I’m still there. In my office there are the pictures of my children and family but also anything that might be a note or a letter from my friends.

MY PERSONAL WUNDERNEST: MARIO RASINI

If I had to find a title to define Mario Rasini, it would be “Forever Young”.

Indeed Rasini, partner and founder in 2002 of 3zero2 that produces and distributes video programs, has an air of eternal young boy that gives serenity and stability at the same time.

Born and grown up professionally in commercial television and digital satellite, he is an expert in technology, but also a man who can regain his living space devoting to his passions, such as trips and golf, sport that he practices successfully. His wundernest is a very special place.

MY PERSONAL WUNDERNEST: KEAN ETRO

Second of four brothers, designer of the men’s collection in the family business, Kean Etro calls himself a storyteller. He has the culture and the ingenious smartness of a mature man and the innocent and playful curiosity of a child.

Describe your Wundernest or your Wunderkammer.

It’s not only a physical place, but also a mental one, where I collect signs, inspirations, visual symbols, memories, souvenirs of my trips and of my heart. For me it rhymes with color, emotion, history, travel, culture and game. I love surrounding myself with objects that somehow affect my feeling.

My personal Wunderkammer is a summary of what I am, what I love… mostly old books, but also modern objects, games of yesteryear, works of art (such as Nierikas Huichol), unusual musical instruments from all over the world…

THE WUNDERNEST OF GUIDO GALIMBERTI

My name is Guido Galimberti. I’ve lived for forty years the adventure of being a collector.

Whoever enters my house and meets the objects that inhabit it can see and read them whth me, if they want to.

I only own works that, beyond their artistic value, are able to tell a story, stories that I keep and pass on, this is the collector’s duty.

Sometimes I think that I don’t own my works of art, but rather they take my story to the next collector, who will be able to understand them, if he wants to.

MY PERSONAL WUNDERNEST: GIANANDREA TOSI

“My family, my hobbies, a different life from the one you live in Italy; because we’ve lost sight of the real things, the important ones such as respect, serenity, being sympathetic, good manners: my wundernest is made up of all these things.”

Gianandrea Tosi, CEO of New Mood Resorts, owner of a resort under construction in the Maldives, speaks frankly to us and he points out how important things done with passion are.

“I live in the Maldives, my job is tourism and I think of how many beautiful things we could do in Italy with tourism, since it’s the most beautiful country in the world. We’ve excellences that no one else has, but we’re a people limited by its own merits because we aren’t able to enhance our cultural and territorial heritage. Italy is yet beautiful and extremely varied, you can just think about how the landscape, the wine, the food and the culture change from north to south.”

Ritratto Rossella Colombari

MY PERSONAL WUNDERNEST: ROSSELLA COLOMBARI

Antiquarian since four generations, from Turin, Rossella Colombari is a volcano of ideas, energy, words. Born and grown up in beautiful things, she says of herself that she is a failed artist: she wanted to follow an artistic career, she perfectly drew interiors of houses when she was only eight years old, but being an artist was considered to be unseemly by her family and then becoming a gallerist was a totally natural step.

We meet her in her beautiful gallery in Via Maroncelli in Milan, where she exhibits beautiful modern art furniture.

‘A STORIA – REAL NEAPOLITAN PIZZA IN MILAN

“In Milan in Viale Monte Nero n°55 there’s a restaurant. Its name is ‘A STORIA and there, with an excellent service and very nice owners, you can eat a Neapolitan pizza that not even… in and around Naples. And then they serve an excellent mozzarella, spectacular first courses, a super pastiera and a dream babà.

A really unique piece of history of Neapolitan cuisine!!!

It’s a “wunder” place- wonderful that I recommend to all our friends and readers.”

Marta Sannito

MY PERSONAL WUNDERNEST: MARTA SANNITO

Beautiful, tall, black eyes, from L’Aquila, a particularly lively smartness, Marta Sannito has worked in fashion as brand manager all along. She has always been surrounded by the beauty of what she does. She opens to us her Wunderkammer.

My Wunderkammer isn’t a real place; it’s a mental place, it’s the room where I would have liked to collect clothes, accessories, objects of the masters that I met, such as Gianfranco Ferré, Romeo Gigli, Antonio Berardi, people who gave a lot to the fashion world and that would deserve a place where to stay all together. So I have gathered them in an imaginary wonder room where I can find them all.

The beautiful Antonio, the beautiful king, the boyfriend of Italy: there are so many nicknames for Antonio Cabrini, the most famous number three of our peninsula, the Juventus fullback with which every girl fell in love and which made supporters become crazy, the beautiful and good boy of the National Team. Today he is the coach of the women’s national football team, a calm and quiet man, smiling and helpful with everyone.
